I am eleven years old and skate at The Rinks in Shelton, CT on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and at Champions Skating Center in Cromwell, CT on Saturdays throughout the year. I started skating right after I turned four years old. I am a member of US Figure Skating and the Laurel Ridge Skating Club.  During the summer I attend the Figure Skating Academy at The Rinks which is scheduled for three weeks.  For the last four years I have attended the Summer of Gold program at the International Skating Center of Connecticut in Simsbury, CT and I spent three weeks there in 2011.  I also spend two weeks at the Champions Figure Skating Camp at the Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers in New York City near the end of the summer.

My coach, Heather Carusone, was my first Learn to Skate instructor at the Rinks.  Ms. Heather held my hand until I could stand on my own. My assistant coach is Jennifer Piacquadio who worked with Ms. Heather when she was my age.  My coach at Champions Skating Center is Jessica Anastasio.  I practice and take private lessons during the freestyle sessions.  During the summer at the International Skating Center of Connecticut, Summer of Gold Camp, my coach is Jessica Anastasio.  I am working on my footwork for Moves In The field Novice Test and have landed my axle several times but not consistently yet - next I will move on to double jumps.  Figure Skating is so much fun and I love performing in front of an audience.  Before my first ice show I decided that performing was not that much different than practice except you are alone on the ice; I do get nervous though and like to listen to music on my iPod during the waiting.
